Qualifying Examinations

As established by the regulations of the Doctoral Program in Mathematical Sciences, doctoral students must undergo a qualifying examination, which consists of two stages:
Written qualifying examination: The student must take the exam at the end of their second semester in the program, or exceptionally during the third semester, provided they have passed all courses classified as "mandatory."
Oral qualifying examination or thesis project defense: The student must present no later than the beginning of their fifth semester in the program.

Students in this initial stage of their training will find here the exams administered in previous years. These are intended as support material to help them prepare for their qualifying examination.
